Free Time Activities
The Madeira Whale Museum organizes, every academic interruption period, recreational and educational activities for children between 5 and 14 years old. This initiative began Christmas 2013 and given the large attendance registered has remained as an activity for children from Caniçal village or neighboring parishes. Activities fall within the experienced season: Christmas, Easter or summer.
Activities developed under the ATL's are distributed for several days depending on the academic interruption, and in the summer the activities are developed throughout the month of July.
In ATL's children develop plastic expression work related to time of the year, participate in cooking activities, carry out games in the Museum gardens, make small walks around the village and trips to the pool.
The Madeira Whale Museum also receive children from other ATL's in the area, carrying out exploration activities of the different museum spaces.
