The Educational Services collaborated with the EB School from São Roque do Faial in the development of "EUREKA - Science in School" project. This aims to promote experimental science teaching and the development of laboratory skills, including: safety, material handling, and development of reasoning and interconnection STSE (Science-Technology-Society-Environment).
The activities were held weekly, with:
Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and grades.
The weekly planning of activities allowed the work of several programme contents. Throughout the project the increase of autonomy and confidence in handling the equipment, the progressive increase in the ability to present hypotheses and analyze the results, as well as outlining the conclusions was shown.
