Throughout the school year partnerships with schools in the municipality of Machico were developed. With these partnerships, cetacean’s biodiversity and environmental protection associated with the development of experimental and laboratory work were addressed.

The participating schools were:

1 - EB1/PE Machico (Oct. /Nov. 2008) – Weekly activities related to the development of the project "Biodiversity" involving teachers and students of the 3rd and 4th grades (Groups L1 and L2);

2 - EB1/PE Caniçal (Oct. /Nov. 2008) – Weekly activities related to the development of the project “Marine Environment” involving teachers and students of the 1st and 2nd grades.

3 - EB1/PE Maroços(Jan. /Feb. / Mar. 2009) - Weekly activities related to the development of social skills.

4 - EB1/PE Água de Pena (Jan. /Feb. /Mar. 2009) - Weekly activities with the 2^nd and 3^rd grade classes streamlined in curricular and extracurricular component.

5 - EB1/PE Água de Pena (Maio / Jun. 2009) - Weekly activities with the 3º grade class;
